Creating your connection Important: Keep your Account Information (User name and Password)in a safe
spot! You may need it at a later date.
  • First, find the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop (the Big Blue E). If you do not see the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop, please contact Customer Service (800)588-3304.
  • Click your RIGHT mouse button on the Internet Explorer icon (the Big Blue E).
  • Click on "Properties" with your LEFT mouse button. (All further references to "click on" refer to using your left mouse button, unless otherwise specified.)

Internet Properties

  • On the Internet Properties screen, click on the "General" tab. In the section called "Home Page" enter the following address in place of what currently appears: http://www.Wyoming.com Click on Apply at the lower right of the screen.
  • Click on the "Connection" tab. Click on the "Setup" button. The Internet Connection Wizard will start.

Internet Connection Wizard

  • Select "Dial-up to the Internet". Click on Next
  • Select "I want to set up my internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)". Click on Next.

Setting up your Internet connection

  • Select "Connect using my phone line and modem".
  • Click on Next.


Phone Number

  • Area Code: Leave Blank
  • Type in the local access phone number. If you are not sure what your local access number is, you can find a list here.
  • Click on "Next"


User Name and Password

  • User name: Please enter the User ID provided to you.
  • Password: Please enter the password provided to you. Please take extra care to enter the password exactly as shown.
  • Click on "Next"

Connection Name

  • You may call your connection anything you want, however, we recommend naming it Wyoming.com.
  • Click on "Next"
  • If you would like to setup Outlook Express for your email account, select Yes. Click on Next.
  • Select Create a new Internet mail account. Click on Next.
  • Display name: Enter your name, (for example, John Doe).
  • Click on Next.

Internet E-mail Address

  • E-mail address: userid@Wyoming.com (Please replace "userid" with the username assigned to you for your Wyoming.com account.)
  • Click on Next.

E-mail Server Names

  • My incoming mail server: POP3
  • Incoming mail(POP3 or IMAP) server: mail.Wyoming.com
  • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: mail.Wyoming.com
  • Click on "Next"

Internet Mail Logon. Select Log on using:"

  • POP account name: Please enter the User ID assigned to you.
  • Password: Please enter the password provided to you.
  • Click on "Next"

Display Name

  • Enter your name, (for example, John Doe).
  • Click on Next.
  • Click on Finish.

Connecting to the Internet

  • Double click on the Internet Explorer icon (the big blue E).

Disconnecting from the Internet

  • Right-mouse click on the connection icon in your systray. The systray is normally located in the lower right hand corner of your screen next to the time clock. The connection icon looks like two computers with green lights, wired together.
  • Click on "hangup".
