Before following the instructions below, double-click on My Computer and see if you have a Dial-up Networking icon. If you do not, call (800)588-3304.
Creating your connection (Important: Keep your Account Information sheet in a safe spot! You may need it at a later date.)
  • Double-click on the My Computer icon on the desktop.
  • Double-click on the Control Panel icon.
  • Double-click on the Internet Options or Internet icon. If you can not find it contact Customer Service at (800)588-3304.

Internet Properties
On the Internet Properties screen, click on the "General" tab. In the section called "Home Page" enter the following address in place of what currently appears: http://www.Wyoming.com

  • Click on the "Connections" tab.
  • Under the connection section, click on the "Connect" button. The Internet Connection Wizard will start.

Internet Connection Wizard

  • Select "I have an existing internet account..".
  • Click on "Next"
  • Select.Select this option if you are accessing the Internet using an Internet service provider..".
  • Click on "Next"

Setting up your Internet connection

  • Select "Connect using my phone line.."
  • Click on "Next"


Phone Number

  • Area Code: Leave Blank
  • Type in the local access phone number. If you are not sure what your local access number is, you can find a list here.
  • Click on "Next"


User Name and Password

  • User name: Please enter the User ID provided to you.
  • Password: Please enter the password provided to you. Please take extra care to enter the password exactly as shown.
  • Click on "Next"

Dial-Up Connection Name

  • Connection name: You may call your connection anything you want, however, we recommend naming it Wyoming.com.
  • Click on "Next" "Next"

Set Up Your Internet Mail Account

    This will walk you through setting up Microsoft Outlook Express to check your email account. If you do not wish to use Outlook Express then choose "No". If you would like to use Outlook Express then please click "Yes" to continue. Click on "Next".

Internet Mail Account

  • Select "Create a new Internet mail account".
  • Click on "Next"

Your Name

  • Display name: Enter your name, (for example, John Doe)
  • Click on "Next"

Internet E-mail Address

  • E-mail address: userid@Wyoming.com (Please replace the word "userid" with the User ID provided to you.)
  • Click on "Next"

E-mail Server Names

  • My incoming mail server: POP3
  • Incoming mail(POP3 or IMAP) server: mail.Wyoming.com
  • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: mail.Wyoming.com
  • Click on "Next"

Internet Mail Logon

  • Select "Log on using:"
  • POP account name: Please enter the User ID provided to you.
  • Password: Please enter the password provided to you.
  • Click on "Next"

Friendly Name
Internet mail account name: You may name your Internet mail account anything you want.

  • Click on "Next"

Complete Configuration

  • Click on "Finish"

Connecting to the Internet

  • Double click on the Internet Explorer icon (the big blue E).

Disconnecting from the Internet

  • Double click on the connection icon in your systray. The systray is normally located in the lower right hand corner of your screen next to the time clock. The connection icon looks like two computers with green lights, wired together.
  • Click on "disconnect".

Checking Your Settings

    Please have your Windows 95 disk available.
  • Double-click on the My Computer icon, then double-click on the Dial-Up Networking icon.
  • Right-click on the Wyoming.com icon and left-click on properties.
  • Left-click on the server type tab. Make sure that only enable software compression and TCP/IP are checked.
  • Click on "OK" and close Dial-Up Networking.

If you are on a network (2 or more computers linked together) please contact your Network Administrator for optimal Network settings.

  • Double-click on My Computer, and double-click on the Control Panel, then double-click on the Network icon.

Necessary components for connection to Wyoming.com are:

  • Client for Microsoft Networks
  • Dial-Up Adapter
  • TCP/IP Dial-Up Adapter

(Other clients, adapters, or protocols that are not being used may be removed or disabled.)

  • Highlight the TCP/IP Dial-Up Adapter and click on properties. If you see "You have asked to change.." then click "OK"
  • Click on the WINS Configuration tab and select "Disable wins resolution"
  • Click on the DNS Configuration tab and select "Disable DNS" <
  • Click on the Gateway tab and make sure there are no installed "Gateways"
  • Click on "OK"
  • Set the Primary Network Logon to Client for Microsoft Networks
  • Click on "OK"
  • The computer may ask for your disk at this point.
  • Click "Yes" when asked to restart.
